Things to consider...

1) A mandatory draft that requires the registration and record of all Cranks505 members for the purpose of necessary participation in unsanctioned events as announced. Selection of draftees shall be made upon abilities to fulfill duties within physical, temporal or financial constraints.

2) Creation of a financial review board overseen by the Crankfather and staffed by posting members of Cranks505. It is the purpose of the board to produce accurate record of all activities as listed and fulfilled by Cranks505 members, draftees and outside participants for review by the public.

3) The drafting of an Equal Rights Amendment to the Crankstitution requiring that for all male posters, an equivalent number of female posters shall be admitted to fulfill the same duties, not excluding the creation of additional events that address the interests of women.

4) An AMBER Alert equivalent for bicycles that shall draw the immediate attention of the Cranks505 community. The DAMMIT Alert will work in favor of the locally victimized with the prospective return of stolen bicycles and persecution of thieves.

5) Democratic selection of moderators that draws upon the members of Cranks505 to vote in the selection of an additional moderator outside of the Crankfather. Elections shall be open to all posting members and a vote conducted via a Cranks505 poll. Majority necessary to win. Tie goes to the rider.

6) The honoring of Cranks505 through the observation of a holiday on July 5th. Proper observation of said holiday requires the thorough harassment of other local cycling blogs not excluding hey fixie and Fixed&Free.

Love,
Cranks505.

APB ON TWO STOLEN BIKES...

Sam Miller's Thrasher was taken from his own home the other night. It is in the above colourway. If you see the fool that stole this bike, jump him.

Additionally, my friend Allyson had her bicycle stolen outside of the UNM Fine Arts library earlier today. I don't know the model, but it was a burgundy and silver Raleigh 26" wheel city bike with a neon orange handlebar basket. If you see the fool that stole this bike, jump him.

Keep your eyes peeled Burque. Avoid using cable locks for more than a few minutes. Make sure that you keep all appropriate documentation for the ownership of your bicycle available (serial number, sales receipts, labor receipts, make/model/description) and report theft immediately to the police and all local bicycle shops. Play it safe!

Lastly...

On an unrelated note, thanks Julia and Santa Fe Polo for hosting us tonight and congrats on starting up a new club. Big ups to Buck for being Santa Fe's first new polo player. New inter-city schedule to be listed shortly...

One more thing...

Congrats USA for the big W today. First time to rank top of bracket in nearly 80 years!

Road bike trials out, polo in...

If you haven't figured it out from the flyer, Santa Fe has entered the poloverse. Now Albuquerque has a sister club. Wednesday is the inaugural. I'll be there. Anyone else? Even if you've never played, it's a great time to start.

BREAKING NEWS!!
Fixed gear freestyle is officially played out. The next hot new trend is road
bike trials. Grab your spandex...
Worst oil disaster in US history. One of the top ten worst corporations in the world (based on environmental and human rights records). When are we going to start executing these scumbags? We have the death penalty here for a reason, right?

TETSUUOOO!!

This is SO ILL. I first saw Akira when I was eight years old and I can safely say it blew my fucking mind, still does actually, so when I saw the first image I was shitting bricks. Lo and behold, Feather Cycles and Death Spray Custom got together to produce this beauty for Nike's Tied Together global fundraiser. So awesome.

Don't let us scare you...

Polo's not as bad as it seems! Just ask the new guys. We're heading up to Colorado Springs to battle with the Inter-mountain West's greatest, so wish us luck.

Also. Two Wheel is looking for a mechanic... Think you've got the right stuff? Drop by with a resume and apply. "Been there, done that," you say? Drop by with a few choice words for Charlie. He sits on these decisions. Feel like you're being dodged? Hang out and pester Mark about the difference between thin and thick Campagnolo Record bottom bracket cups of a '70s vintage. Persistence is a virtue!

IN MEMORIAM

The Journey is the Thing from Tony Blazejack on Vimeo.

Saw this today and was reminded how easily a life can end on the road. In memory of Roy Sekreta, James Warden, Pamela Lee Higgins, Ronald Hargrove, Heather Reu, and every other ABQ cyclist who has died doing what we all love. Be careful out there.

THE BURLIESTSo if you haven't checked out the awesome vintage Holdsworth frame at the shop yet, stop by and take a gander. It's a stayer bike like this one, built for crushing land speed records behind a motorcycle, or in this case, a fucking Le Mans race car. Note the chainring - special prize for who guesses the correct number of teeth...
