STOLEN BIKE:

Mid-morning on October 28, my friend Jon's bike (same as above) was stolen from the racks on the northeast end of the lower level of Dane Smith Hall on UNM campus.  If you have seen this bike (2007 Cannondale CAAD9 in this same red), or work at a shop and someone's brought it in to sell, or notice it on craigslist, please e-mail me immediately at guswashere@gmail.com  Even if you notice anything fishy.  The poor guy went to class and came back to find it missing.

FURTHERMORE:

If you're the dumbass that just swiped my knog whilst I was just in class I will find you.  I will find you and run you under the wheels of the Rapid Ride.  I will pry the teeth from your skull, drill them hollow and put LEDs in them with a pressure sensitive button to illuminate them at night, taping them to my bicycle for visibility.  But really?  If you were in such dire need for a light I would have given you $10.  You sonofabitch.  Instead you swipe it and leave me to ride home in the dark.  Real considerate you fucking twit.

Lastly.  Please everyone keep an eye out.  Be extra sure in locking your bike up or just not leaving it sitting about.  Create a random rotation of racks you lock up to and prevent anything premeditated.  If you're bike's worth a lot and it's a primary mode of transportation, get renter's insurance and in the event of theft, be certain to file a police report immediately.  And if anyone reading this perpetrated either of the aforementioned thefts, beware, I will find you and fill your life with regret.

so I receive this email in my inbox today:

hey sau, what's up. this is graham and i need your help spreading some obama love around abq. we just dropped off about 120 of these little top tube flags at bike coop, fixed and free, cafe giuseppe, the co-op, winnings coffee, the obama headquarters, and two wheel drive. if you could post the image or just mention on cranks505 where people can go to get one, that would be so awesome. i mean, if you support obama. i feel like anybody who likes to bike more than they like to drive likes obama more than they like mccain. anyway, let me know if you're down, it would be a huge huge help.

best, graham

good times! speaking of good times: Fixed & Furious/Volume Three is tomorrow evening. please see below for more details.
